This year marks a significant milestone as Poland commemorates 20 years since its accession to the European Union. The enlargement in 2004 stands as a pivotal moment in the history of the EU, as it welcomed not only Poland but also the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia, Cyprus, and Malta into its fold.In honor of this occasion, Professor Stanisław Mocek, Rector of Collegium Civitas, shares his insightful reflections on the evolving Polish perspectives towards the EU.

LONG WEEKEND AT COLLEGIUM CIVITAS

Due to the upcoming public holidays (May 1-3) and the classes scheduled online for the weekend of May 4-5, please note that the university will be closed from Tuesday, April 30, at 5:00 pm, until Monday, May 6, at 8:00 am. Access to elevators and stairs leading to the twelfth floor will be blocked from April 30 at 5:30 pm, and normal access will resume on May 6 at 6:00 am.

PROFESSOR MICHAŁ SZOSTAK APPOINTED NEW VICE-RECTOR FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

We are pleased to formally announce the appointment of Professor Michał Szostak as the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at Collegium Civitas. Professor Szostak also serves as the Head of the Institute for Management Research at Collegium Civitas and holds the position of Associate Professor (Doctor habilitated) specializing in management within the realm of social sciences.

The team from Collegium Civitas got 2nd place in the prestigious Nationwide University Project Management Games PMI PC, which the final took place on April 20, 2024, at the SGH Library. A special issue of Peace Review, edited by Katarzyna Anna Przybyła

Katarzyna Anna Przybyła, lecturer at Collegium Civitas, is a co-editor (alongside Maureen P. Flaherty from the University of Manitoba in Canada) of the latest issue of the international journal "Peace Review," published by Taylor and Francis. Issue 36/1 (2024) is entirely dedicated to the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the ongoing war. Katarzyna A. Przybyła is also the author of two articles included in it.
