The Future in Science Fiction

Collegium Civitas in partnership with SRAS (USA) invites you to participate in the on-line summer school course “The Future in Science Fiction” held between 28 June – 06 August 2021. In this course we will take a look at science-fiction from the perspectives of sociology, security, political science and ethics. Alongside a series of discussions and workshops, we will be working on essays for publication in a course anthology. Enrollment deadline is May 25. The number of places is limited.

The paper by Collegium Civitas researchers Prof. Izabela Wagner and Prof. Mariusz Finkelsztein has just been published by the Journal of Contemporary Ethnography. The article “Strategic Boredom: The Experience and Dynamics of Boredom in Refugee Camp. A Mediterranean Case” examines the boredom of asylum seekers living in a refugee camp in southern Europe.
