Katarzyna Anna Przybyła, lecturer at Collegium Civitas, will share her insights at the Aurora International Peace Conference 2025 in Innsbruck. Her lecture, "Teaching Peace in a 'Border' Country," highlights Poland's experiences in integrating peace and conflict studies into academic programs.

Dr. Paulina Piasecka, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, recently concluded a visit to Vietnam National University in Hanoi. The visit within the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program framework strengthened ties between the two institutions and explored exciting avenues for future collaboration.

The seventh volume of the academic book series “Security and Society in the Information Age” has just been published. This book results from the 10th edition of the Summer School “Security and Society in the Information Age” held at Collegium Civitas between June and July 2024. The volume brings together papers by undergraduate students - participants in the program presenting the “Youth Perspectives on Security”.

At the end of 2024, Dr. Monika Nowicka participated in the Global Engagement Week at VIVES University in Belgium, sharing research on refugees with disabilities. Earlier, she joined an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme at UCLL Leuven. Both experiences enhanced her expertise in practice-oriented teaching and international collaboration.

Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Collegium Civitas, examines the complex interplay of global security threats in her latest article published in the Social Inclusion journal. Highlighting issues such as terrorism, violent conflicts, ecological challenges, and political instability, the study sheds light on how these interconnected threats disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations.

Prof. Natalya Ryabinska from Collegium Civitas examines the impact of political comedy and satire on populism in Ukrainian media. Through her analysis of two popular TV shows, she highlights how humor can both reinforce populist narratives and serve as a tool for critically exposing the flaws of populist rhetoric, particularly in the context of Volodymyr Zelensky’s presidency.

As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching program, Collegium Civitas lecturer Dr. Andrzej Kondej visited Uludağ Üniversitesi in Bursa, where he presented Collegium Civitas, participated in an international academic event, engaged with students interested in studying in Poland, and explored new opportunities for collaboration in student and faculty exchanges.
