Dr. Magdalena El Ghamari, a Collegium Civitas lecturer and expert in terrorism, Islamic extremism, and radicalisation, contributes to the pilot edition of the PPBW Review PLATFORM. In her featured article, "Immigrant Integration, Monitoring Early Signs of Radicalisation, and the Potential of Mentoring," she explores the complexities of immigrant integration and its role in preventing radicalisation.

Prof. Joanna Mizielińska, Collegium Civitas lecturer, and Prof. Danuta Uryga from the Maria Grzegorzewska University have co-authored an article titled "On the queer road: Parents’ reactions and strategies in response to their LGBTQI children’s coming out", published in the renowned scientific journal Children and Youth Services Review, issued by Elsevier.

On September 19th, Collegium Civitas had the honor of hosting the 48th European Students’ Convention, an event organized by the European Students' Union (ESU) and the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland. This prestigious conference, returning to Poland after an eight-year hiatus, began on Thursday and continued through Sunday, September 22nd.

At the recent annual conference organized by the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association and the Business and Human Rights Teaching Forum, researchers Dr. Jacqueline Kacprzak and Dr. Lidia Stępińska-Ustasiak from the Human Rights Centre at Collegium Civitas presented a case study on the ‘Human Rights in Business’ course.

We are proud to announce the launch of a new project, "Understanding Migration Realities: Teaching Through Migration Research in Diverse Societies" (MIGRAEDU), which began on September 1st. This initiative is led by Collegium Civitas, in partnership with the Research Institute for Quality of Life (ICCV), a research institute of the Romanian Academy in Bucharest

On September 10, 2024, Collegium Civitas joined the Merito Group, the largest network of non-public universities in Poland, which includes WSB Merito Universities and the University of Lower Silesia (DSW) in Wrocław. Despite this integration, Collegium Civitas will maintain its unique brand, name, and legal identity.

During this year’s edition of the prestigious European Sociological Association conference, which took place in Porto, the following researchers presented their papers: Dr. Katarzyna Iwińska; Dr. Hab. Paweł Matuszewski, Prof. CC; Dr. Hab. Joanna Mizielińska, Prof. CC; Dr. Marek Troszyński; and Dr. Agata Stasińska. They also participated in academic events accompanying the congress.

On October 11, 2024, Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Collegium Civitas, will deliver a lecture on "Security Threats - Polish Perspectives" at the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America (PIASA) in New York. During this lecture, Dr. Maniszewska will provide valuable insights from her research and extensive experience in global security and terrorism studies.
