Prof. Jens Boysen joined leading scholars at the 28th IPSA World Congress in Seoul, showcasing Civitas University’s engagement in global political science debates. His presentation focused on societal responses to the war in Ukraine, contributing to discussions on democratic resilience and security.

Civitas University experts contributed to an international scientific conference on sustainable and socially responsible development, co-organized with WSB Merito University in Gdańsk. The event brought together researchers from 17 countries to discuss interdisciplinary approaches to today’s global challenges.

We are pleased to announce that Civitas University has signed a new Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) with Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) in Nigeria, further expanding our academic cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme.

Dr. Monika Nowicka co-authors a new publication on disability inclusion and crisis response, featured in PLOS ONE as part of the UNRF project.

On July 8, Civitas University had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from the Philippines as part of a study visit organized by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Polish Embassy in Manila.

From June 23 to 27, 2025, Civitas University proudly hosted its very first Staff Week, organized as a Blended Intensive Programme and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

Dr. Katarzyna Maniszewska, a lecturer at Civitas University and long-time Vice-Rector for International  Relations at our university, has been awarded the prestigious research scholarship Fulbright-NATO Security Studies Award 2025.

Between May and July, the 11th edition of the Summer School “Security and Society in the Information Age” was held at Civitas University. This year, our university hosted 19 students from U.S. universities. The program combined the four-week intensive course on Central Europe & Security Issues with a two-week online research internship with the Terrorism Research Centre.

Civitas University faculty continue to make their mark internationally — with recent contributions at the European Parliament and the ACIEK 2025 Conference in Alcalá.
