For the sake of the health of the entire Collegium Civitas community - students, teachers, research and administrative staff - pursuant to the statutory rights on the autonomy of higher education institutions and the regulations on ensuring safety, and in light of the current, still very serious pandemic situation in Poland and other countries, as well as the forecasts for the pandemic’s course, the Rector of Collegium Civitas has decided to extend online teaching to all summer semester classes in 2020/2021 for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Please, kindly note that the International Office will be closed between December 23 and 28 and on December 31, January 1 and January 6. Our warmest wishes for a happy Holiday Season and all the best for the New Year 2021!

On December 18 the closing event of the training “Internationalization of Higher Education” took place. Over 100 participants – representatives of 80 Ukrainian universities took part in the programme. The training was organized by Collegium Civitas in cooperation with the Center for Polish Education in Kiev as a part of a series of educational events which have already gathered over 500 participants from Ukraine during 6 editions held previously on-site in Warsaw and this year in the online mode due to the pandemic.

Collegium Civitas encourages scientists from abroad to take part in POLONEZ BIS - a fellowship programme for experienced researchers, co-funded by the European Commission and the Polish National Science Centre and to conduct the research at our university. The first recruitment round starts in September 2021.

Collegium Civitas in cooperation with SRAS, USA invites you to join the online sessions  “Perspectives on Central and Easters Europe”. This online series will be held in February, March, April 2021 and will look at CEE countries from three perspectives - history, security, and democracy. This is a live and interactive lecture series providing an intensive introduction to the history and current issues in a region that has undergone tremendous change over the course of the past century.

On December 1 Collegium Civitas and the University of Nairobi, Kenya signed a Collaboration Agreement. The agreement paves the way to join initiatives such as a double degree program, trainings and research collaboration.

The Collegium Procuratio Club and Collegium Civitas Career Center invite all students and lecturers to take part in the Christmas art competition “Five Senses of Christmas”. Submissions deadline: December 16.

On December 1 the participants in the course “Terrorism and the Media” met online with Mr. Maciej Czajkowski, filmmaker, journalist and editor at Polish and foreign media outlets. His work for the BBC was the main focus of the discussion with Collegium Civitas students. Mr. Czajkowski was impressed by the diversity of the class – 30 students from countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, the US, Canada, Australia participated in the meeting. “Diversity is a superpower!” – Mr. Czajkowski said.
