APAIE is a prestigious international conference bringing together thousands of professionals in the field of international education. The 2022 edition will be held between March 27 and March 30 on-site in Vancouver and simultaneously online. The programme features two presentations by Collegium Civitas Vice-Rectors: Dr Katarzyna Maniszewska and Dr Roland Zarzycki. The main theme of the conference is: Brave New Realities for Higher Education in the Asia Pacific.

On December 10 Katarzyna Anna Przybyła, Collegium Civitas lecturer participated in the 9th edition of the Warsaw Dialogue for Democracy (WDD). The 2021 edition was dedicated to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on democratic societies.  

We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Krzysztof Kasianiuk obtained his post-doctoral degree (habilitation) in the field of social sciences in the discipline of political science and administration. Congratulations!!

The conference “UN Security Council: Is it worth being a non-permanent member?” was held by Collegium Civitas in partnership with the Swiss Embassy in Poland on November 19. To hear more details and interesting conclusions please see the video recording of the conference.

In November Dr Magdalena El Ghamari and Dr Marek Troszyński, Collegium Civitas presented the results of their research in the project “Migrants. Analysis of media discourse on migrants” at two seminars in Kosovo and Albania.

Dr Kerry Longhurst, Collegium Civitas will present the results of the Eastern Partnership 2021 Index during the Civil Society Forum's annual assembly on 30 November at 3 PM CET. The session will be live streamed via Facebook. The Index report will be made available to the public on the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum website.

On December 13 the Institute of Sociology, Collegium Civitas organizes an online lecture by Professor Eric Kurlander from Stetson University. The seminar will be devoted to his research on the Role of “Political Romanticism” in Explaining the Crisis of 21st Century Democracy. Prof. Kurlander is a renowned American historian, visiting Collegium Civitas under the Fulbright Global Scholar program.

In November 2021 Collegium Civitas and Kenzhegali Sagadiyev University of International Business (UIB), Almaty, Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further enable collaborative work on exchange opportunities for students, staff and faculty members, development and promotion of research collaboration, the development of double degree program and training programs.
