On May 23 Civitas University had the honor of hosting Mrs. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya for  a special lecture on “Belarus and European Security”. The lecture by Mrs. Tsikhanouskaya, a courageous leader of the Belarusian democratic movement, offered an opportunity to reflect on the future of Belarus, regional security, and the values that shape democratic societies in Europe.

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 11th edition of the annual Summer School “Security and Society in the Information Age”. This unique program, jointly organized by Civitas University in Warsaw and SRAS (USA), combines a rigorous four-week academic course on Central Europe and security issues with a two-week research internship at the Terrorism Research Center.

As part of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Program, Professor Małgorzata Baran visited Marmara University in Istanbul, engaging in academic exchange and exploring opportunities for future cooperation.

Civitas University successfully hosted its first-ever Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program, bringing together students and faculty from Poland, Germany, and Romania for a dynamic week of academic exchange and international collaboration.

From May 19 to 23, Civitas University is hosting Dr. Ainur Abdrazakova from Süleyman Demirel University (Kazakhstan) as part of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility program. Her visit includes classes, meetings, and an open lecture on sustainable development and human capital in Central Asia.

On May 15th, Civitas University hosted a guest lecture by Dr. Bożena Leven, who explored the global economic implications of current U.S. political developments. The event offered valuable insights into policy-driven risks, the labor market, and the future of the U.S. dollar in a changing geopolitical landscape.

Civitas University has officially launched the Center for Research and Development in Civil and Defense Security. Established by decision of Prof. Stanisław Mocek, Rector of Civitas University, the Center will address key public security and defense challenges through innovative research, education, and strategic partnerships.

From April 7 to 11, 2025, Civitas University welcomed Dr. Mazhar Islam Rahman from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, Türkiye, as part of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility program.
